VIDEO: Savannah Bananas’ first base coach’s dance moves land him on ESPN, CNN

Randy Thompson/ for The Savannah Morning News. Savannah Bananas center fielder Logan Mattix (No. 7) celebrates with his teammates after hitting a solo home run in the bottom of the first inning during Thursday’s game with the Lexington Blowfish.

It seems like some members of the Savannah Bananas aren’t just baseball talented, but have some excellent dance moves as well.

These moves are so great that even ESPN’s Sportscenter took notice, featuring the dancing of Bananas’ first base coach Darius Johnson during a recent game on a segment of the show. Johnson’s dance moves also made it on CNN’s Morning Express with host Coy Wire saying, “if this doesn’t get you ready to party this weekend, I don’t know what will.”

The Bananas will look to dance their way to a victory tonight as they take on the Forest City Owls in front of a sold out crowd at Grayson Stadium at 7 p.m.
