A Fort Stewart soldier was killed after being struck by a vehicle on Ga. 119 Monday morning.
The soldier, who has not been identified, was riding a bicycle towards Fort Stewart when he was struck from behind by a Toyota Prius around 7 a.m., Georgia State Patrol Trooper Jamie Quinn said.
Quinn said the driver stayed with the soldier and flagged down a passing car. The driver of the passing vehicle was an Army medic, who called 911 and administered CPR to the soldier until an ambulance arrived.
The unidentified soldier was taken to Wynn Army Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead, Quinn said.
