On August 11, the Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force worked in conjunction with Savannah-Chatham Metropolitan Police Department’s Strategic Investigation and K9 units to arrest a man wanted for a Hardeeville, South Carolina murder.
Through the gathering of intelligence, officers determined Devon Dunham, 30, was at the Days Inn in the 200 block of Stephenson Avenue. They responded to the scene and took him into custody without incident. Dunham is being held in the Chatham County Detention Center for his charge of murder, pending extradition to South Carolina.
At the time of his arrest, Dunham was in the company of Tyreek Lester, 18. Lester was in illegal possession of a firearm and was charged with carrying a concealed weapon.
