o Chatham County courthouse is open to public. The judicial emergency has been rescinded effective September 13. However, because of difficult circumstances, deadlines motions and petitions have been extended until Monday, September 18, 2017.
o Residents are encouraged to check with their specific provider.
o Chatham County Public Works will begin debris removal in a systematic manner through unincorporated areas on Thursday September 14, 2017.
§ Use “marked” reusable containers or Kraft paper bags for grass clippings, pine straw/cones, and other small debris. PLASTIC BAGS ARE PROHIBITTED FOR COLLECTION OF YARD WASTE.
§ Yard waste containers must weigh less than 50 obs. And be in a container smaller than 35 gallons.
§ Place containerized yard waste on the curb and do not cover utility structures or block roadways/sidewalks/bike lanes.
§ Cut tree trunks, limbs, branches into 4 foot or less sections stacked at curbside.
o Residents should make contact with their provider for safety precautions.
o City of Savannah indicates water is safe for drinking.
o Chatham Connect app is now accepting damage photos and service requests associated with Hurricane Irma.
Chatham County Connect app is available for iOS or Android. Get it on the Google Play store or download it from the App Store.
§ To report Chatham County damage, such as downed power lines, trees, flooding and washout, it is suggested residents submit photos and information through the Chatham Connect app.
o Residents can use the Public Works website http://publicworks.chathamcounty.org/Service-Requests; or the Chatham County, Georgia, Facebook page.

ARMSTRONG STATE UNIVERSITY:
o Power has been restored to all buildings at Armstrong State University. Armstrong will resume classes and normal business operations at the main campus in Savannah and at the Armstrong Liberty Center in Hinesville on Monday, September 18, at 8 AM. All classes and special events are cancelled until Monday.
o Residential students may return to the main campus on Friday, September 15, beginning at 2 PM. Faculty and staff can access their offices on Friday, September 15, starting at 2 PM.
