It was a great weekend to be an SEHS cheerleader.

On Saturday, Sept. 24, the South Effingham varsity cheerleaders competed at West Laurens High School and brought home another win. They took first place in the Eighth Annual Raider Rumble.

On Friday night, three of the seniors on the team also won crowns for homecoming queen, taking first, first runner-up and second runner-up: Naomi Parker, Miriam Coon and Emma Wheeler.

The girls, trained by head coach Cayte Conley Vickery and coach Amanda Palmer, have placed first twice this season.
