The Richmond Hill Garden Club selected the home of Christa Martin, 195 Saint Catherine’s Court, in the Waterford Landing subdivision as its November Yard of the Month.
“It’s evident that a lot of hard work, TLC and time goes into this lovely yard. The curb appeal is amazing. From the road, it is a variety of vibrant colors. Ms. Martin keeps her yard fresh and current with seasonal flowers, so there are always lovely flowers blooming year round. Standing on her sidewalk leading up to her front door is like standing in a secret garden,” said garden club member Mary Grace Allen.
“Surrounded by plants of all sorts, there are even tropical plants showcasing their beauty. She has many plants that call her garden home. A few are: gladiolus, coleus, begonias, wandering Jew, banana trees, ferns, pansies, mums and hibiscus. It is no wonder that butterflies love her garden. She is a great steward to Mother Nature’s most delicate creatures, offering them a place to be nurtured year round,” Allen added.
Martin said Tim and Dave’s Nursery in Richmond Hill is the source of many of her plans.
In addition to a Yard of the Month certificate, Martin received a gift certificate from Tim and Dave’s Nursery.
