Third annual Stu Sligh Memorial Tournament hosted by Savannah Country Day on Thursday and Friday

The third annual Stu Sligh, Jr., Memorial Baseball Tournament will be held at Savannah Country Day today and Friday. Admission is $5 with proceeds benefiting the Stuart F. Sligh Jr. Memorial Foundation

On Thursday, Savannah Country Day will play Benedictine at 2 p.m., with the SCD Alumni team facing St. Andrew’s at 4 p.m. Savannah Christian and St. Andrew’s face off at 6 p.m., with SCD facing the SCD Alumni team at 8 p.m.

On Friday, Savannah Country Day will play Savannah Christian at noon, with Savannah Christian taking on Benedictine at 2 p.m. Benedictine and St. Andrew’s will close things out with a game set for 4 p.m.

The Stuart F. Sligh Jr. Memorial Foundation was established in memory of Stuart F. Sligh, Jr., the former standout student athlete from SCD who died in February of 2012 at the age of 16 in a car accident.
